Device disconnects are indicators of poor connections, grounding problems or a misbehaving device. The blue spikes (ping failures) in the lower graph are clear indicators of a device having problems. Connectors or connection problems are frequent in plant floor applications. |
This diagram is displaying disconnects happening during a fixed time period and then reoccurring at a later time. This can identify a time-based occurrence such as a motor starting creating vibration or electrical interference. The errors can be caused by the device have periodic resets or issues due to other environmental problems. |

This diagram shows a stoppage of transmits from a device however the connection status (ping failures) and ping response times are still in an acceptable level. The Base level connection status is seen operating continuously so the issue is application or driver related. |
This diagram shows both transmit and receive data being significantly reduced. There is a small amount of received data however the transmitted data has stopped totally. |
