About the Company

Network Vision Inc. was founded by a group of professionals who were eager to bring their ideas about Industrial Ethernet to the automation industry - an industry that requires constant innovation and process improvement.  Unencumbered by corporate bureaucracies, and possessing extensive technical and marketing experience allows the company to be agile and responsive to the evolving markets.

Founder Mark Fondl brings to the company 25 years of experience in automation, with the last 8 years spent at the forefront of Industrial Ethernet development.  He was an influential member of the board of Directors of Foundation Fieldbus (1996-1999).  As VP of Schneider Automation in North Andover, Mass., he and the company won a 1999 Computerworld Smithsonian award for "Transparent Factory", an Ethernet/Internet adoption into manufacturing. A concept currently being adopted by most if not all automation companies 10 years later.

Andy Swales, CTO, provides the company a unique blend of automation and communication skills. Andy was a key contributor to Modicon and later, Schneider Electrics advanced technologies group and during his tenure, he defined and guided the MODBUS/TCP networking protocol to the automation industry. Andy earned an MA degree in Physics/Computer Science with First Class Honors at the University of Cambridge, UK and holds numerous patents in automation and networking.

Network Vision's goal from the start has been to design software for the plant floor that is easy to use and can effectively handle factory floor applications.  With the kind of global growth that is expected for Industrial Ethernet applications, Network Vision, Inc. is a strong proponent of the support tools required for successful network and device deployment and continuous operation.  Network Vision's flagship software, called IntraVUE™, provides a powerful, yet easy to use, network and device visualization tool to the automation industry.  The software is also adaptable to multiple applications in which the network availability is important.
